Dragon Con Live: June 16 @ Sandbox ATL

Our next Dragon Con Live is going to be very, very live … and you can be a part of the show.

Thursday, June 16 at The Garage (Sandbox ATL)
848 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

Sandbox ATL and DragonConTV proudly present this episode of Dragon Con Live in front of a live studio audience*.

* yeah, that’s you

New in 2016, these monthly live broadcasts are a way to keep fans informed about all things Dragon Con before the show starts. June’s episode is the follow-up to our successful debut at MomoCon.

This episode is all about technology, so we’re bring some kick-ass robots into the heart of Atlanta’s tech scene. Our guests are the members of Chaos Corp, regular participants at Dragon Con’s Robot Battles.

bombshell

Their robots Bombshell and Short Fuse can be seen this summer on ABC’s BattleBots, and they’ll be bringing some serious bot to The Garage. We’ll also get a chance to talk to Scott Henderson about the tech that lives in Sandbox ATL, and update all y’all on the latest Dragon Con news.

Dragon Con is the largest, multi-media, popular convention focusing on science fiction & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe. This year marks its 30th anniversary with everything happening Sept 2-5 across several hotels in downtown Atlanta.

Doors open at 7:00pm with first come, first serve beverages and snacks. The live broadcast begins at 8:00pm sharp. Admission is free, but you must RSVP at the Sandbox ATL events page. If you can’t make it downtown, enjoy the show on-line.

Note that if you’re in the audience you’ll probably end up on camera at some point in the show (think ‘Top Gear’ without The Stig, jokes about London traffic, and bad fashion decisions). We ask that you show up, refrain from flash photography, have fun, and remember we’re trying to put on an all ages show. Also, steer clear of the killer robots.

New for 2016 … Dragon Con Live!

Ok kids, time for something new. DragonConTV is going to do some live broadcasts before Dragon Con 2016, allowing us to keep fans informed about all things Dragon Con before the show starts. This is a bit of an experiment for us, but we hope it will keep fans connected to Dragon Con year-round.

Out first event will be on our YouTube Channel, broadcasting live from MomoCon at 8:00pm Eastern on Thursday, May 26th.

There’s a new Star Wars movie coming out … this makes the folks at DragonConTV wonder how it will all turn out. Are the fans excited? How does George Lucas feel? Can JJ Abrams dance?
